If you previously had Facer installed on your Tizen watch, but it was removed for some reason and you want it back, there is a method that may allow you to reinstall the Facer companion app and continue syncing watch faces if your current phone is compatible.
Requirements
You can use this method only if:
- You previously installed Facer on the same watch at least once in the past.
- You still have access to the same Samsung account that was logged in when you originally installed Facer to the device.
- Your watch is running Tizen OS (e.g., Galaxy Watch, Active, or Active 2).
If these conditions are not met, the Facer companion app cannot be installed due to the shutdown of the Tizen store by Samsung in 2025.
Pair and Set Up Your Watch
- With your Tizen watch charged and powered on, pair it with your phone using the Galaxy Wearable app.

Access Your “Previously Installed” Apps
Even though the Tizen app store no longer supports new installations, Samsung still allows re-downloads of apps you’ve installed in the past.
- Open the Galaxy Store app on your phone.
- Tap Menu (≡) → My apps.
- Select the Watch tab.
- Scroll through the list to find Facer Companion or Facer.
- Tap Install (↓) to reinstall it to your watch.
Launch the Facer Phone App and Pair It
- Open the Facer app on your phone.
- Make sure your Tizen watch is detected and connected.
- Choose a watch face to sync.
Approve the “Apply” Prompt in Galaxy Store
When trying to sync a face:
- You may see a screen pop up in the Galaxy Store asking you to Apply the selected watch face.
- Tap Apply.
- The watch face should now successfully sync to your Tizen watch.
Troubleshooting
I can’t find Facer in “My apps.”
This means either:
- You never installed Facer on this watch before, or
- You're logged into a different Samsung account.
Unfortunately, the Facer companion app cannot be installed in these cases.
The “Apply” prompt keeps appearing or won’t complete.
Try:
- Reopening the Facer app on your phone.
- Rebooting the watch.
- Checking that Bluetooth is connected.
The watch won’t pair without resetting.
Some older Tizen devices require a factory reset during pairing. The workaround still works as long as you had Facer installed previously and can reinstall it from the Galaxy Store → My apps → Watch list.
