Behavior/symptoms: Watch face elements that display weather data (eg. the daily temperature) are showing a value of 0 instead of the correct one. In most cases, this issue is caused by Facer not having the right permissions or the watch not having location enabled.
Troubleshooting steps to try, in order:
- Check to see if Location access is enabled on your watch
- for Wear 3 (Galaxy Watch 4 and 5)
- Open the Settings App
- Scroll to and tap on Location
- Make sure it is set to "On"
- for Wear 2 (any other watch)
- Open the Settings App
- Scroll to and tap on Connectivity
- Scroll to Location
- Make sure it is set to "On"
- for Wear 3 (Galaxy Watch 4 and 5)
- Make sure the Location permission is enabled for Facer
- for Wear 3(Galaxy Watch 4 and 5)
- Open the Setting App
- Scroll to and tap on Apps
- Tap on Permissions
- Scroll to and tap on FACER
- Make sure that the "Location" permission is set to "Allowed"
- for Wear 2 (any other watch)
- Open the Settings App
- Scroll to and tap on Apps and notification
- Scroll to and tap on App permissions
- Scroll to and tap on Facer
- Make sure that the "Location" permission is set to "On"
- for Wear 3(Galaxy Watch 4 and 5)
After checking that both location is enabled on the watch AND that Facer has the location permission, weather should work on your watch face. If it doesn't, you can try and force a weather data refresh with the following steps:
-
-
-
- open the Facer watch face picker (triple tap on the Facer watch face)
- go to the watch face settings by tapping on the cog icon
- and perform a unit system change (eg. from metric to imperial)
- return to the watch face
